ShipCheck · last updated 1 October 2026

ShipCheck tracks the parcels of Shopify orders for the stores that are connected to it, and flags parcels that are stuck, returned, failed or never shipped. This page explains what information that involves, where it goes, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password, plus when you last signed in.
  • Store connection: your store's Shopify address and the app credentials you enter, used only to read your orders.
  • Orders from Shopify: for shipped orders with a tracking number: order number, order date and value, the customer's name, email address and shipping address, the tracking number and carrier. The shipping address is only used in the emails you choose to send your logistics company about a delivery problem. We don't read payment details.
  • Tracking updates: the carrier's events for each parcel (dates, descriptions and locations) and our record of each check.
  • Settings you choose: Discord channels connected to a store, notification preferences, and the text of customer emails if you use that feature.
  • Claude connections: if you connect ShipCheck to Claude, we keep a record that the connection exists and when it was last used, so you can see and remove it.

How we use it

  • To check each tracking number with the carrier and work out whether a parcel is moving, stuck, delivered or has a problem.
  • To show you that information in ShipCheck, and to post alerts to the Discord channels you connect.
  • If you switch on customer emails, to email your shopper the message you wrote when their order has a problem.
  • If you connect Claude, to answer the questions you ask Claude about your orders.

We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who it's shared with

  • Carriers and tracking services: tracking numbers (only) are looked up on the carriers' websites, sometimes through a proxy service, and, if enabled, with the tracking service 17TRACK.
  • Discord: alerts you set up contain order numbers, tracking numbers and the issue, and are posted to the channels you choose.
  • Email delivery provider: if customer emails are switched on, the shopper's email address and your message go through our email provider to be delivered.
  • Your Gmail (if you connect it): logistics and customer emails are sent from your own Gmail through Google. ShipCheck can only send from it; it can't read your inbox.
  • Claude (Anthropic): only if you connect ShipCheck to Claude, and only the information Claude asks for while answering your questions. Claude can only read; it can't change anything in ShipCheck.
  • Hosting: ShipCheck runs on Railway, which stores the database on our behalf.
  • Shopify: we read orders from your store; we don't send anything back to Shopify.

How long we keep it

  • Orders and their tracking history are kept while the store stays connected, so you can see the full history of a parcel.
  • Removing a store in ShipCheck permanently deletes that store's orders, tracking history, reports and Discord connections.
  • Disconnecting Claude from your Account page stops its access straight away.
  • To have your account or any store's data deleted, email us (below) and we'll remove it.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, the site is only served over HTTPS, and each account can only see its own stores. Claude connections use a sign-in you approve, and can be removed at any time.
